Abstract
The task of this project was to analyse the structures and (economic) potentials of the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) in the border region between Maramures county (Romania), Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county (Hungary) and Transcarpathia oblast (Ukraine).Regional statistical analysis, branch hearings, workshops, case studies and interviews with stakeholders were compiled in a SWOT-analysis, by differentiating into three topics: the Overall CCI-development, Infrastructure and Tourism.
In the course of the project there emerged 93 project ideas, mostly from regional stakeholders. The most important project recommendations are: Branding through networking and using tourism as lead topic for stimulating cross-sectorial and cross-border regional development in all CCI-sectors.
