Abstract
Creative Industries´ companies and organisations face specific challenges and barriers concerning access to financial resources. A new Guarantee Fund by the European Union in the framework of the Creative Europe Programme aims to facilitate access to finance for the cultural and creative sectors.KMU Forschung Austria in cooperation with kulturdokumentation and FOKUS was commissioned by the ERP Fund of aws, the Federal Chancellery, the Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy and creative wirtschaft austria of the Austrian Economic Chamber to carry out a study on this subject.
The aim and purpose of the study is to give an overview on the financing situation and the financing needs of the Austrian cultural and creative industries and to provide an evidence base for decisions concerning the Austrian engagement in the European Guarantee Funds.
